We, as an Australian couple in our 70's, travelling independently for a month in India, arrived into Indu's care after a challenging first week further north! We were exhausted and feeling overwhelmed and truly our holiday turned around from our first welcome. I think a vase of flowers from the garden in your room says a whole lot about care, pride and welcome and there it was! Here, from our beautiful room, we could sit on the balcony outside overlooking the beautiful lake, with fish jumping and to the backwaters beyond...and at sunset its gorgeous. Of course our typical Keralan dishes served with pride...and explanation...were an adventure in themselves and yummy. I guess memories are not only to do with the physical aspects but reflections of genuine care for you and you will find that...

GuestsA wonderful location away from the bustle of the city. The house and rooms are beautiful, built in the traditional style- with lots of the host’s personnel touches. This is a perfect location to relax. The roof top garden is beautiful and has stunning views over the backwaters. We intended to stay for 2 nights- and ended up staying for 3 because Indu and her staff made us feel so welcome.The food was wonderful our whole time there with traditional style recipes. The local country boat trip was excellent fun seeing real Kerala life - we even brought a crab back from the trip, which was cooked perfectly for my husband (he said it could have been the best crab he'd ever had cooked !).We loved being at Shravanam Greens (I don’t think my husband would have left if not for a early flight to catch)
